Oops, this post was supposed to come after the one posted before this, oh well. So another thing that happened once my parents arrived....We were roasting dogs over the fire and mine was perfectly burnt in all the right places and ready to be eaten, when suddenly the stick caught on fire. I started screaming No! My dog is going to fall off! Help!! My sister tried to hand me a plate and right when she did, the stick snapped and I lost the most perfect hot dog ever. :( We dragged it out of the fire pit and fed it to Buck, our dog. He loved it!

This is seriously my most favorite vacation spot!

So here's Danielle's leg after getting what I'm guessing was smoke burns from her flaming rock. It was so crazy!

And this is her sleeping bag and the hole burnt through it. Her mattress is further on.

For those of you who have never been to Goblin Valley, I highly recommend it! We had so much fun climbing, hiking, and just having adventures. The first two nights Dave and I took Dallin and Danielle with us. Then on Friday night the rest of my family showed up.
Dave and I would sleep with our Russian hat's because it got kinda chilly at night. :)
There's a super cool hike nearby, called Little Wild Horse Canyon. The rocks were amazing, like this picture here, but there were also cool places where the walls got so narrow you couldn't fit two people through at a time. It was definitely one of the coolest hikes I've ever done.

There was just an amazing variety of rocks period all along the hike.
So, apparantly very hot rocks left in a fire too long shouldn't be brought into tents. Leave the rock in the fire no longer than like five minutes and it will last you all night. Danielle's decided to burn a hole through her sleeping bag, through the mattress, and finally through our tent, eventually turning into a fire which Dallin put out with a nearby water bottle thank goodness. It was in the middle of the night and I was laughing my head off!
On March 27th we went to the David Archuletta concert. Dave was so excited and there was absolutely no chance of getting out of going, so we went. :) It ended up being a lot of fun, though. We were on the floor and it was just a fun date night!

Well, apparently when you go to a place called "The Treehouse Children's Museum", they really mean 'children's'!! :) Mom, Dallin, Danielle, Dave, and I all went to the Treehouse and had a blast! There's seriously tons of fun stuff to do! The clothes didn't fit so well, but we still liked dressing up!
We all had to build towers with blocks for awhile and Dave definitely beat with his super tall tower. It took him awhile, and the boys pretty much spent the whole afternoon in the blocks area.

Meanwhile, Danielle and I played Queens and Princesses and Repunzel.

Chuck E Cheese!

It was Sarah's birthday on the 13th and we surprised her by taking her to Chuck E Cheese's! She'd never been and we had a lot of fun. Sure, it's for kids, but Dave and I actually go there for dates :) We've figured out a lot of the games to where we can win lots of tickets!

Gateway

The week after Christmas we went down to Gateway. It was my family's first time riding the Front Runner. Here's my mom and dad-the coolest people ever!

Dallin and Dave look like runway models here, showing off their winter gear.

Dave and I were just being goofy, like we like to do.

I'm glad I only have one brother. That way I can really say he's the best brother ever. He's totally growing up into some suave guy, something I never expected when we were younger ;)

Here's the whole crew, except dad. He's always the one with the camera. It's one of the few times we're all together with Kristy off to college and Dave and I married and out on our own. It's good times for sure.

Taylor Christmas Party

We have a Taylor family Christmas party every year-my mom's side of the family. On the way home we stopped off of I-15 to show Dave the underground tunnel going from one side of the freeway to the other. It's just something my family has always liked to do.

I call the hats Dave and i are wearing our "Russian hats". We just bought them. They don't much anything really, but they are so warm! I would definitely recommend them. They're cute, too. Walmart special! Our favorite store. :)

Work Christmas Party

This is at our work Christmas party. We did a Hilton Garden Inn/Davis Conference Center Idol. Basically everyone showed their talent, then we did a whole voting thing and everything. The front desk girls, myself included, lipsynced to The Spice Girls "Wannabe". It was a lot of fun. I was Ginger Spice. We didn't win, but we weren't really expecting to anyhow. Dave got to be Ryan Seacrest and host the entire show. It was definitely one of the cooler Christmas parties we've had.

This was our team for a game we played. The guy next to Dave was our Christmas tree. There's me, Dave, tree, cute lady, Amy, Iliad, and Stephanie.

Ginger Spice and Ryan Seacrest-we make a great couple!

Dave and his Mom

Next we went to Dave's mom's home (also my super great mom-in-law!). We had a delicious Christmas dinner with the traditional English poppers (I'm not exactly sure what they're called) which is pretty cool. I feel like I have more culture in my life now since Dave is English and his family still carries on with their traditions. It's really neat. Like on New Year's Eve we run out the back door and in the front; or in Dave's and my case-out the side door at the hotel we work at and in the front. And of course we kiss before coming back in the building and having to be all professional again. :)

Layton Family

This year we went to my family's house first for Christmas. This is the super amazing quilt that Kristy, sitting next to Dave, made for us. She'd been secretly working on it for us for two years-ever since we got married. Each person in the family designed a square and it is sooo cool!

Christmas!

This is my adorable husband, Dave! This was our third Christmas together, but our first ever by ourselves, with our own Christmas tree and decorations, not borrowed, at our own home, well apartment. It was perfect! Look at all the presents! Actually those are all for our families. :) We opened the ones we'd gotten for each other then left for the parents' homes. It was a long, tiring day, being that we both work graveyards, but it was so worth staying up for two days.
